They’re not just a beautiful symbol of transformation, but they also play a crucial role in our environment. That’s why I’m beyond excited to share something that’s been in the works for a while: Séré Society is committed to supporting two incredible butterfly conservation efforts — Illinois Monarch Project and Save Our Monarchs!

This isn’t just about making a donation and calling it a day. No, no, no — we are weaving butterfly conservation into the very fabric of our brand, just like a mariposa weaving its way through a garden in bloom. Let me break it down for you...

Why Butterflies?

Let’s rewind to when I first started making my own skincare. I was struggling with redness, irritation, and products that made my skin feel worse, not better. Much like how a butterfly goes through different phases before spreading its wings, my skincare journey was a process of learning, unlearning, and embracing natural, gentle ingredients that actually worked.

As I grew Seré Society, I kept coming back to the butterfly as a symbol of transformation, beauty, and resilience. But beyond symbolism, butterflies — especially monarchs — are struggling. Habitat loss, pesticides, and climate change have caused a serious decline in their population. And that’s where we come in 🤗 ...

How Seré Society Is Taking Action

I wanted to find a way to integrate butterfly conservation into Seré Society in a way that felt real — not just a marketing ploy, but something that truly aligns with our values. Here’s how we’re doing it:

🦋 A Portion of Sales Will Support Conservation. Throughout the year, a percentage of our sales will be donated to Illinois Monarch Project and Save Our Monarchs, two organizations dedicated to protecting these beautiful pollinators. Every time you shop with Seré Society, you’re directly helping butterflies thrive.

🌿 Milkweed Seed Distribution in Orders. Starting soon, select orders will include milkweed seeds, the only plant monarch caterpillars eat. Planting these in your garden, backyard, or even a little pot on your balcony can make a difference!

✨ Special Limited-Edition Butterfly Inspired Products. I’ll be creating limited-edition, butterfly-themed skincare goodies (and other fun little surprises), inspired by the colors and vibrancy of monarchs. Think beautiful monarch colored soaps, sunflower scented body oils, lip balms, and fun little things you can wear that capture the essence of these magical little creatures.

Meet the Monarch Bar Soap: Inspired by Our Mission

One of the most exciting ways we’re supporting butterfly conservation is through our Monarch Bar Soap (launching March 21st!). This soap was inspired by the beauty and resilience of monarch butterflies, blending nourishing, skin-loving ingredients with a design that pays tribute to these pollinators. A percentage of sales from every Monarch Bar Soap will always be donated to Illinois Monarch Project and Save Our Monarchs, ensuring that every purchase helps protect these incredible creatures.
